The Circus of the Damned

The Circus of the Damned is the debut album from acclaimed Wellington circus musical sensation The Amazing Dalmatian Euphonium Experiment.

It is a musical that tells the story of a circus train that crashes into a river during a storm, calling all the circus performers, sending all the troop to hell. The Ringmaster convinces Satan to allow them to put on a show in hell to all the demons. Satan agrees and says that if they are suitably entertaining, he will let them go free from the underworld.

The show is a sensation, and Satan releases the circus from the confines of hell – but the troop are ghouls and half-dead. For all eternity the circus ghost train will cross the world, passing through towns in the dead of night, scaring children and bringing terror wherever they go. They are the Circus of the Damned.

The musical performance by the Amazing Dalmatian Euphonium Experiment at CubaDupa was a hit on the streets of Wellington, and featured acrobats, tightrope walkers, jugglers, clowns and fire eaters – as well as a band of 12 musicians.
