The Seduction of the Girl

Things go from bad to worse for the innocent girl Laura, who is seduced by the dastardly Ring Master who is a master of deception. He gives her a role in the circus as the tightrope walker, flattering her and praising her beauty. She is afraid and vulnerable, and he comforts her and takes her into his arms – but only to seduce her and lead her astray.

She falls in love with the Ring Master – old enough to be her father – and is unaware of his deceit and treachery. But all the other circus people know him well, and that he a rake and serial seducer of innocent young women.

This act is a tragedy – the story is about betrayal, loss of innocence and a fall into the wicked world of the circus of the damned.
